Hooping Marvellous!

I’ve been playing with different media this week: fabric, buttons, silk, decopatch, washi tape, double sided sticky tape… what’s not to love?  I made a bit of a mess in the process (oops!)

This make was inspired by Eva Cassidy’s Songbird

I tried a range of different methods for covering the bamboo rings including wrapping with silk embroidery thread, washi tape and decopatch. I think all three look fantastic but were all a little fiddly to achieve.

        

I think the final hoops are absolutely stunning and my brain is buzzing with ideas for more hoops which are already on order!
